ICE - In Case of Emergency
|
In case an accident or medical emergency leaves you unable to communicate, how will Police, Fire or Ambulance personnel know who to contact?
Are you prepared?
ICE is an internationally recognized acronym used as a name in your cell phone contact list that police, fire and ambulance can use to reach the appropriate contact in case of emergency. If you are unable to communicate to first responders, your ICE contact could be a family member, a translator, a social worker, or any other person who can speak on your behalf.
For children, seniors and those without cell phones, wallet sized ICE cards are available free from all of Vancouver’s Community Policing Centres. In case an accident or medical emergency leaves you unable to communicate, ICE will speak for you to first responders.
All residents should program an emergency contact into their cell phone or carry an ICE card in their wallet or backpack.
Add ICE to your cell phone now! Come into the WECHCPC to pick up free ICEcards for you, your children and elderly relatives.

The West End - Coal Harbour Community Policing Centre is a non-profit organization. We are core funded by the City of Vancouver, but our expenses reach far beyond the "core" funding we receive. Without the support of the community, fundraising, and donations, our office wouldn`t be where it is today. If you would like to sponsor or donate to our organization, please contact info@wechcpc.com for more information. Your donations help us with everything from office equipment, foot and bike patrol essentials, uniforms, and the most basic necessities such as heat and power. Thank you to everyone who supports our Centre!
We are now accepting applications for new Board members.
The WECHCPC recruits members of the West End and Coal Harbour community who are interested in making their community safer to join the West End – Coal Harbour Community Policing Centre (WECHCPC)’s Board of Directors. In this position you provide governance within the organization, set policies, and provide guidance, support and direction to the Executive Director. In addition you are required to attend meetings, Strategic Planning Sessions, special events and fundraising ventures.
